American Red Cross Courses
We are a proud authorized provider of American Red Cross Training Courses
CHSS offers three types of courses through our partnership with the American Red Cross®
CPR/AED Courses - Intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Offered in Adult only or Adult and Pediatric. May be combined with First Aid course.
BLS Courses - Intended for Healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings.
First Aid Courses - Offers the basics of first aid, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.
We offer courses in 2 formats to meet the needs of students and offer flexibility. All formats include the same learning objectives and result in the same course completion card.
• Instructor-led Training classroom courses feature group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback. Classroom courses are conducted at our training center or at your facility if needed.
• Blended Learning courses include an online portion and a hands-on portion. The online portion can be completed at work, at home, or wherever you have internet access. The hands-on skills practice and testing session is conducted in-person with one of our Instructors.
Individuals with current American Red Cross or AHA certifications are eligible for our Review (Renewal) Courses. These courses are available for CPR/First Aid/AED courses as well as our Basic Life Support (BLS) courses. Review Courses are approximately 2 hours, and consist of several short videos and a hands-on skills session.
